First of all Change the Display unit Scale to (centimeters). We are going to make a Bed which is (180cm/150cm). So first we will make two reference planes and build the bed around them. Download the reference images From Here. The bed that we are going to create in this tutorial would be as shown below:

Final Rendered Image of the bed.

Step 1
Create two planes. With dimensions — Length: 180cm, Breadth: 150cm, keep the value of the length & Breadth segments at 1 and enter the values of the Co Ordinates of Plane 1 as follows - X : 0, Y : 0, Z : 45 and the value of the Co Ordinates for plane 2 as follows - X : 0, Y : 0, Z : 0. Now select both the planes, Right click and choose object properties. In the object property dialog you have to deselect "Show Frozen In Gray" as shown below. Now freeze both the planes.

Step 2
Now let us create a Box with the following dimensions - Length: 180cm, Breadth: 3cm, Height: 16cm and let us set the length, Breadth & Height Segments to 1 and then enter the Co Ordinates values for X to -75.0, Y to 4.0 and Z to 29.0 as shown below.

Step 3
Now let us create a Box with the dimensions for Length set to 6cm, Breadth set to 6cm and Height set to 69cm and then let us enter the Co Ordinates value for X as -73.5, Y as 97.05 and Z as 14.5.
