Unwrap UVW Texturing Part 2
Source - Escalight.com  Category - Materials
In previous tutorial Unwrap UVW Texturing Part 1, I have explained about 8 steps using Unwrap UVW. This tutorial is an addition to that tutorial. We will learn about stitching to create continuous mapping. This feature is important, especially in organic mapping. Consider this, when you texture human, you separate head and body as different mapping cluster. As a result, when you render, there may be a mark in the neck because the mapping cluster is not continuous.

Unwrap UVW Texturing Part 1
Source - Escalight.com  Category - Materials
I have wrote tutorial titled Understanding Unwrap UVW. In that tutorial, I explained how to use Unwrap UVW to texture a box. But, in that tutorial I assumed we already had a scanned texture. So, Unwrap UVW is used only to match faces with appropriate texture. Now, in this tutorial I will explain 8 steps how to texture an object using Unwrap UVW. You can use these techniques for almost any object needed to be textured, especially if you want to texture a low poly model for games.
